Lila Caffery, MA, CCHT
, took her MA in counseling at the University of Maryland and is a graduate of Georgetown University's Family Center where she trained under Murray Bowen, M.D., founding director, and creator of Family Systems Theory.
With over thirty years of practice, Lila is an experienced family consultant, and a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. She specializes in Inner Child work and the Enneagram, both profoundly spiritual approaches to individual growth and healing.
Lila has a general clinical practice in San Francisco and over the internet via videocoferencing. She specializes in family reconciliation, addiction and trauma recovery, especially those suffering from physical and sexual abuse. Having worked with women in prison and at a Federal halfway house in Oakland, she remains devoted to these populations. She is a multicultural, racial, religious and sexually sensitive consultant.
A past retreat director at both the Jesuit Retreat House in Los Altos Hills, CA. where Lila gave her Inner Child retreat for many years, and at the Mercy Center at Auburn, CA, she has also given this work in translation in long residential settings in Japan and continues this transformational work in both short weekend formats and in an annual five-month Saturday Intensive format in San Francisco. She lectures at local conferences in the Bay Area about the deep healing that this experiential work achieves.
